Code of Practice
Nordic Walking UK has introduced a Code of Practice (COP) to encourage best practice by all Nordic Walking UK trained instructors.
This code of practice is designed to give consumers a quality assurance/kite mark and to distinguish those instructors operating in a professional and safe manner from their competitors.
Health and Safety/Legislation In order to achieve all the benefits of Nordic Walking it is necessary to be taught good technique and the role of the instructor is very important. It is the instructor’s responsibility to keep up to date with current legislation and health & safety appropriate to them and the NWUK Code of Practice is intended as a minimum benchmark to which they should operate.
NWUK has developed guidelines, specific courses and modules to assist with training and require all compliant Instructors to have the correct additional qualifications and continue their Personal Development for delivering Nordic Walking to their particular market.
