The church of St Mary Magdalene is a single-cell early Norman church build between the 11th and 15th centuries. To access it you must take a small path over a moat bridge to find it. The church sits within the grounds of a manor house whose history is tied up with the English Civil War and the Tichborne family. The church itself is much older, early Norman with the vestiges of its Saxon heritage still visible in a blocked up arch of vertical and horizontal stones.
The churchyard is proud of its 1000 plus year old yew tree.
