The week-long Bring the Paint 2022 festival will be drawing to a close so it’s time to visit some of the super-sized street art murals installed across the city. This will be an easy street-walk, with plenty of opportunity to stop and take in these impressive street art installations in their final form. The globally-renowned artists will have been crafting their designs each day for you to enjoy. We hope to visit approximately 20 of the 48 installations during this walk, and will have plenty of time to admire, photograph and celebrate the creativity. Bring your camera to capture these stunning masterpieces.
Meet: In St. Peter's Square, close to the entrance to Wagamama's.
Pace: This will be a gentle walk from venue to venue, with time to take in the artwork at each location. The distance covered will not be excessive and there will be plenty of time at each venue to view and discuss the merits of the art work. The overall duration of the walk will depend on how much time the group wishes to spend at each venue.
Terrain: This is a street-walk using public pavements and footpaths.
Clothing: Please dress according to the weather. We recommend layers and a light-weight jacket in case the weather turns. As this walk will take place on pavements, comfortable shoes such as trainers or boots should be sufficient.
Facilities: Public facilities are available in the major stores in the city centre. There may be other places en route with toilets although this needs to be verified. Please bring drinks, especially water, and any snacks you require during the walk, along with any emergency medication you may need, as we will be some distance from our cars.
Parking: there are many public car parks available in the city centre, including the Highcross Multistory. Parking charges will apply.
At the end of the walk, we will return to St Peter's Square, where there will be the option to stay for lunch for those who wish to do so.
When joining us, we ask you to read and agree to these safety measures:We aim to be respectful towards members of the public and reassure them of our safe practices.
