10.30AM START. Led by NWUK Instructor Susan Spain, the `Thursday Thunderer Workout Walk` is a 1 hour moderate to faster pace Workout Walk starting from different locations in the Salford area. These energising sessions will help you rebuild your stamina and fitness levels, push that pace without compromising on technique plus work on strength and core fitness. For those who have completed a Power of the Poles or Learn to Nordic walk course and have their Freedom code. Incorporates motivating drills and exercises using Gears 1, 2 and .... maybe some Gear 3. Will also incorporates some technique work to help you get the most out of your Nordic Walking.
This week - starting from Beesley Green, Worsley
Meeting point - Beesley Green, Worsley. Meet in the free car park at Beesley Green Community Centre which is just off Greenleach Lane, Worsley. Leave the M60 at junction 13. At the Worsley interchange roundabouts, follow signs for A575 (Walkden Road). Follow the A575 Walkden Road for half a mile then turn right onto Greenleach Lane. After 0.3mile turn right into Beesley Green. Watch for the turning which is quite narrow and is before the turning down to Roe Green Cricket Club. Also approached from the A580 East Lancashire Road by turning left onto the A575 Walkden Road, then left onto Greenleach Lane. There is parking for up to 30 cars in the car park (or plenty of onroad parking/use the adjacent Roe Green Cricket Club car park). No toilets available.

IMPORTANT - Covid-19 requirements and protocols
1 - Participants must stay 2m apart wherever possible (min 1m+) and respect other participants personal space upon arrival, during and when leaving a session.
2 - Participants must adhere to instructions given by the instructor at all times including walking patterns adopted by the group and the adoption of double bubble small groups.
3 - Face coverings are optional. However please bring one with you in case they are needed. (a scarf or similar is fine). It is also advisable to bring a small bottle of hand sanitiser with you.
4 - Strapless or strapped Nordic walking poles may be hired at a cost of £1 (coin on the day). All poles are disinfected between use and quarantined for 72 hours before use.
We will be walking on both grass and paths so make sure you’re wearing supportive walking boots or shoes/trainers with a good tread that you are happy to get dirty and comfortable clothing appropriate for the weather. Paws will be required (on and off on different terrains). Hats, sunscreen and insect repellent will also be required when the weather dictates it!
Please remember to bring 1 - bottle of water 2 - any medications you may need 3 - a small rucksack as you`ll need both hands free at all times 4 - a mobile phone is useful for any last minute notifications.
