Walk Description:
This gentle 3-mile evening walk starts at the fountain outside The Ark in Poole Park and follows the flat, accessible paths around the park’s lakes and open green spaces. The route takes in the freshwater lake, saltwater lagoon, rose garden and waterside paths, providing a relaxed and scenic setting for walkers of all abilities. As the walk progresses, participants will enjoy views across the water towards the neighbouring area of Whitecliff, a desirable harbourside district located on the eastern edge of Poole Harbour. The walk is designed for all levels. The largely level terrain and well-maintained pathways allow participants to walk at a comfortable conversational pace while enjoying the park’s mature trees, seasonal flower displays, waterfowl and tranquil evening atmosphere. Regular opportunities will be provided to pause, take in the scenery and discuss local points of interest. The session promotes physical activity, social interaction and wellbeing while showcasing one of Poole’s most popular green spaces.
