John Dent

Role: Instructor

John Dent is the lead instructor at Nordic Walking Kent. It is the aim of the club to provide the best coaching and supportive environment for you.

Whatever your needs may be, from rehabilitation coaching whilst recovering from surgery or injury, Wellbeing Walks, Adventure Walks or The Ultimate Nordic Class we’ll help you make the best choice for you. Class sizes are kept small enough so you receive individual attention in every session (making sure that you exercise at the level that’s just right for you). A key component of your enjoyment is meeting like minded people too. Catching up for a good “Nordic Talk’ is all part of the fun.

Liz Easterbrook

Role: Instructor

Liz loves exploring the great outdoors while exercising. Nearly all walks start or finish at a cafe or pub where members can enjoy coffee or lunch.

Ide Hill Nordic Walking was started by Liz Easterbrook who is a Brand Ambassador to Nordic Walking UK with the aim of creating “Exercise For Everyone”.

The groups are great fun, relaxed and age is not a barrier.

Liz is passionate that everyone is given the opportunity to achieve their potential. Fitness goals can be achieved in a fun way in the best gym of all – the great outdoors!

I aim to motivate you along with the other members of the group and the beautiful surroundings.

Ruth Jones

Role: Instructor

My journey with Nordic Walking began when I was looking for an outdoor activity that was fun, helped me keep fit and was sociable.
I enjoyed it so much that I decided to train as an instructor with NWUK so that I could share the joys of Nordic Walking with others and show them how it would benefit them.

It is suitable for ALL ages and fitness levels as you only walk at the pace that suits YOU.
Like pilates it can help improve your posture, increase your muscle tone but an added advantage is that it also improves your fitness levels.
Walking with poles, helps take the pressure off your joints so can help with neck and back problems as well as giving your upper body a workout.
So you get an ALL BODY WORKOUT in the great outdoors,

Role: Delivery Partner & Instructor

Tunbridge Wells NW group is led by Emily who aims to inspire and motivate you to get outside. With that you can delight in the sky above your heads and the wind in your hair while getting fitter and enjoying the social aspect of Nordic walking along the way.    

Current I take small groups into the urban and surrounding scenic areas of Tunbridge Wells.   Nordic walking is the perfect way to unwind. I will help you to achieve your goals, whether they be related to fitness, general wellbeing, mental health, weight loss or simply the need to get outside in a social environment and have a ‘Nordic talk’!

Havering Nordic Walkers started in February 2015 and continues to grow as more people are discovering the all round benefits of Nordic Walking for enhancing wellbeing and improving physical fitness. Havering has an abundance of green spaces, parks and nature reserves which many of our clients only begin to discover when they join us for sessions.

Josine Baines

Role: Instructor

Welcome to Tonbridge Nordic Walking. Join me, Josine, to discover the wonders of nordic walking. After an initial session in which I will teach you the “power of the poles”, a new world of walking adventures awaits you.

Age or fitness level is no barrier and I run several walks a week ranging from workouts to gentler scenic walks and longer adventure walks in the surrounding area. There is also the opportunity to join occasional adventures or challenges further afield.

I can help you to achieve your fitness goals whether you are at the start of your fitness journey or you are looking to add something different to an existing fitness routine. Or perhaps you just want to come along and enjoy the social aspect of walking with others.
