Walk Description:

This 90 minute introduction course will introduce you to fitness walking poles to empower you on your health and well being journey. During the fun session you will experience the power of the poles for a full body work-out to help you burn more calories and get fitter faster

After you have  completed the introduction session, you will receive the Freedom Passport and you can start attending instructor led group walks where you can practice what you have learned and be supported on your journey to achieve your goals. The first group walk is included in the induction session fee.  

Poles will be provided for you on the day.

Do wear apprpropriate weather proof clothing and footwear (avoid ankle boots if possible)

10.30AM START. Led by NWUK Instructor Susan Spain, the `Thursday Thunderer Workout Walk` is a 1 hour moderate to faster pace Workout Walk starting from different locations in the Salford area. These energising sessions will help you rebuild your stamina and fitness levels, push that pace without compromising on technique plus work on strength and core fitness. For those who have completed a Power of the Poles or Learn to Nordic walk course and have their Freedom code.  Incorporates motivating drills and exercises using Gears 1, 2 and .... maybe some Gear 3. Come along to this Explorer WALX.  This one hour walk will follow part of the Nar Valley Way and enable us to enjoy some of the super, rolling countryside views.  We will then loop back towards the village and end our walk by following some of the lokes before reaching the Castle which boasts an extraordinary wealth of history.

A fabulous West Wittering Beach Walk starting from the Memorial Hall in the Village.

This Walk which starts from West Wittering Memorial Hall can be led in a number of different ways , ground and weather depending , but all will end up on glorious West Wittering Sandy Beach .

There is nothing quite like striding out with your poles on a Sandy Beach with stunning views and constantly changing scenery .

In all weathers stunning , but please note that it can be very windy and blustery at times .

We tend to stop at the Beach Cafe afterwards for a Coffee , but this is entirely optional .

This social walk lead by a qualified Walx Leader or Instructor will give you the enjoyment of walking in our stunning countryside in a  social group. The key focus of these walks is meeting and chatting to  fellow walkers, the duration of these walks do vary.

These  walks are either  through open countryside, along the canal or thought the parks and gardens of Leamington.

It is a lovely enjoyable way of walking with the opportunity to go for those longer walks if you are looking to challenge yourself over a longer distance  or over steeper terrain .

Gentle WALX that incorporate balance work, flexibility and strength exercises and maybe a bit of forest bathing or relaxation too. All Wellness session incorporating gentle fitness walking with above activities, taught by a retired nurse. It is sociable and can be followed by a cafe visit
