Walk Description:

The Monday Nordic Walkers and Monday Motivators at the Shuttlewood Clarke Foundation would welcome your support on the course of the Rainbows Hospice Santa Run. We plan to walk, or Nordic Walk the course raising funds and awareness for the Foundation which supports the elderly, adults with disabilities and young people in the local community.

The "race" starts at 11am, with the opportunity to santa hats at the start from 9am. You can choose on the day whether to do the 2.5km loop or the full 5km course. Team Shuttlewood Clarke will be with you whichever you decide!

Train with us at Ulverscroft Manor! Each week we Nordic Walk at 11am (poles are available to borrow for those who don't have their own) or you can build your stamina and endurance by joining our Motivate Monday Total Body WALX at 1.30pm. If you can't make it to the Manor on a Monday, fear not, we will tailor our WALX activities in the lead up to the event to make sure you are fit and raring to go!

By signing up here we will enter you as part of the Shuttlewood Nordic team. We will donate the proceeds of your registration directly to the Shuttlewood Clarke Foundation to support their "Grow with Us" initative, a community gardening scheme helping people increase knowledge and skills, gain social interaction and recreation, and generate produce for use in the Foundation’s kitchens thereby benefiting other members of the wider community including the elderly and adults with disabilities. The earlier you sign up, the more money the Foundation will receive!

On the day

-This year we have two options for you to choose from, 2.5km and 5km but don’t worry you don’t need to decide which one to pick until you gather in the Santa Zone on the day!

-The race will begin at 11.00am from Loughborough Market Place, Loughborough, Leicestershire, LE11 3EA

-Parking is available at Beehive Lane, (off Woodgate) Loughborough LE11 2TY located close to the marketplace. Parking is £0.60 all day in this car park.

Full details of the meeting point will be announced nearer the event. The option of car sharing from the Shuttlewood Clarke Foundation will be explored.
