This is a walk for those who are managing a long term health condition. The session comprises of a walking route that can be inland, or along the coast at Goring. There will be rest stops, and the pace regulated to accommodate all those attending on the day. Also there will be exercises and activities to target flexibility, strength and balance. It will be a session with the aim to motivate people to try and improve their fitness and mobility, or to give others the chance to maintain some regular outdoor mobility. It will be a social and fun session.

The terrain is undulating with a few gentle hills. We park on the quiet country road where we start the walk.
There are a might be a few style to get overdepending on the route, but there is no rush and we make sure everyone can get over safely. The views are spectacular all year round.

Explore -woodland, hills and cliff paths, all part of these most enjoyable walks.

Upton heath is one of the largest fragments of a heath which stretched across central southern
England from Dorchester to Christchurch.
Views start immediately over Poole harbour to the hills of the Purbecks.
Plenty of on street parking.
A 6.5 mile walk with lots of interest.
We will walk downhill and eventually leave the heath and make our way over to Upton Country Park an
award winning country park of 160 acres of park and woodland.

A 90 minute session that will help you understand just how beneficial nordic walking can be and how it is far more than just walking with poles! Come and find out how to turn a walk into a workout.
The Power of the Poles Workshop is the best way to get started with poles. Walxwhitepeak’s instructors have an understanding of all nordic walking and fitness techniques and will guide you through the right poles, movement and practice for you.
Walx poles will promote good posture to help you walk better, faster and further. During the workshop we will walk around Ilam Park using poles and practising our nordic walking technique. This walk will be approximately 2 miles over a variety of terrain.
Poles are provided, giving you the opportunity to try strapless or strapped Nordic Walking poles.

These 2 walks warm up together and then take different routes according to your ability.
Referral WALX
A comfortably paced walk in the Gardens for you to enjoy in a social atmosphere. The qualified Exercise Referral Instructor will lead you through a warm up, a short walk making stops along the way if needed and finish with a stretch. Exercise bands are often used within the walk to rest the legs, improve strength in the upper body and work on posture.
We join all Wednesday walkers after the walk for a cuppa in the park if the weather is dry.
Total Body WALX
A gentle paced walk for 45 minutes with a WALX Guide around the lake, joining all Wednesday walkers for a cuppa in the park if the weather is dry.
You can book this session without the Power of Poles training, join us walking with no poles or borrow a set from us and feel the ‘Power of Poles’.

Join us for our Wednesday morning walk, a moderately-paced session covering 5-6 miles designed specifically to help you improve your endurance and speed. This walk is ideal for individuals who are comfortable maintaining a steady walking pace of 3 to 3.5 miles per hour for the entire duration. If you are looking for a consistent challenge to boost your fitness level within a supportive group environment, this walk is perfectly suited to your goals.
Walk time of 2 -2.5 hours.
Walkers are requested to arrive at the venue 10 minutes before the start time to allow for parking, shoe change, pole adjustment etc, so that the walk can start promptly at the time indicated.

This week we start at the Willy Watt Marina in Ringstead. We set off along the disused railway before heading over to Denford alongside the winding River Nene. Having looked with envy at the waterside properties we leave Denford and head towards Ringstead and Kinwell Lakes.
One of our favourite walks with plenty of opportunity to look out for wildlife.
The Water Mill Tearooms is a perfect spot to enjoy some refreshments after the walk.
