Join us at Watermead Country Park to experience the peaceful surroundings and wealth of birdlife and wildfowl which have made this location their home. We will explore both the lakes and waterways of Watermead South This is a relatively level walk and not particularly challenging but an enjoyable leg stretch. Don't worry though, there will be plenty of opportunity to stop and see whether there are any unusual visitors to the park. Keen birdwatchers might like to bring a camera just in case!

A more gentle walk for those with a medical condition that means their mobility is limited, and who feel their fitness levels have declined as a result. Reduced balance may also be an issue. The challenge is still to manage an hour walk, with rests when needed. Exercises are included to work on leg strength, flexibility and balance. Regularly weekly walks can bring about improvements, and improve confidence. The walk will cover different routes each week on the Greensward, or inland along the wooded paths. These walks will follow the “Poles apart” procedure at all times.

Stunning scenery, historical connections, gorgeous architecture, well manicured gardens, a sense of timelessness… and wide shady paths all across the estate to enjoy brisk Nordic Walking. Plus a well deserved coffee and scone at the end in the Muddy Boots Cafe - what could be better?
This is a 4.5 mile brisk walk (average steady pace 3.5mph) suitable for all Gear 2-3 abilities as there are opportunities for those who want a challenge to get up to Gear 3 and add in extra distance if they choose! It is a 75 - 90 minute walk on footpaths through fields and woodland through Blickling Hall Estate.

Free WALX of Wellbeing - Bostall Heath (Gentle walks for Gentle Folks)
Short description
WALX of Wellbeing are free walks led by qualified volunteer walk leaders, previously known as Walking for Health Walks these are a great way to get outdoors, enjoy the green spaces and make new friends.

Description of the Walk: From the car park the WALX Guide will take you through the beautiful ever-changing woodland. The walk can be muddy when wet and in the winter months, please be prepared with good footwear for this walk. Approximately 1.5-2 miles.

Referral Walk
A comfortably paced walk for you to enjoy in a social atmosphere, the qualified Exercise Referral Instructor will lead you through a warm up, a short walk making stops along the way if needed and working on posture. Exercise bands are often used to give the legs a rest if required to work on the upper body. A sociable enjoyable session finishing with a stretch and then if the weather is dry a cuppa in the park.

Jacky’s Jaunt
This walk along the North Devon coast includes a section of the South West Coast National Trail. The route follows paths and lanes enjoying spectacular views along the Atlantic coastline accompanied by possible sightings of porpoise and seals.
We start and finish at the meeting point where outstanding views of the local coastline await our return in a smart and contemporary venue (The Pier House).
