These walks are a great opportunity to exercise and meet and chat to other walkers. They are of moderate pace with the opportunity should you wish to push yourself a little further.
You will walk with a qualified walk leader or master. These walks start at different locations to give you the enjoyment of walking in the surrounding countryside of your local area. These walks are often lead by qualified walk leaders and can be from an hour to 3 hours long.
It is a moderate paced walk with a few stops. An hours social walk naturally tends to be at a quick pace than the 90+ minutes.

Join us for this shortish walk of 3.5 miles. To look at another Abbey in this years series of Abbeys and Priories.
Walk down from Shap village to Keld medieval chapel.
From here we will walk over to Shap Abbey on the banks of the River Lowther, in the Vale of Lowther. Then wending our way back to village.
