Join us for a 3 mile walk from our favourite park in the centre of Preston where we will look at some of the statues that have been placed in the city, and what their significance is and how they fit in with the city's history.

A moderate-paced walk WALX in Kedleston`s glorious parkland, set around hundreds of acres of green sward and lakes, with tinkering waterfalls where wildfowl are in plenty. Kedleston Park is perfectly designed for enjoyable walking, be it on one of the graded woodland walks or beside attractive lakes made by damming Cutler Brook.

This walk starts from the Potting shed cafe (formally called the Hyde cafe).
This walk has amazing New Forest views over high heathland.
The paths vary but in places can be muddy.
There are often donkeys in this area along with New Forest ponies. Occasionally also cows.

If you want a /gentle steady walk over the spectacular Comyn this is the walk for you. Hills will be avoided and the route varies each week.
During the drier months we will walk through the meadows, if its wet and muddy we will keep to the hard perimeter surface. ‘

This is a beautiful woody walk across the cricket pitch and into Hollands Wood campsite (not in use in the winter!) where you`ll enjoy lovely views across the Balmer Lawn with its abundance of ponies, cattle and pigs at the right time of year! Then we`ll head up the hill and into the Parkhill Inclosure and walk around to Standing Hat before returning along the cycle track. This walk is just over an hour.

Your overall fitness including your cardio output will improve, It is a whole body workout helping you feel more energised, Using smoveys will support your upper body and core strength and increase your heartrate. As we work in a group everyone can work within their limits.
There will be plenty of opportunity to rest and all the exercises are differentiated to suit you.
We use out poles to improve our core strength, balance and upper body range of movement. Improving posture is key to improve the way you walk!!

Lower Impact sessions are graded as easy with the focus on improving cardio. Exercises for core strength, arms and legs are incorporated into these sessions.

Evening walk after a day at home or in the office.
This session is an hours brisk walk to help to switch off at the end of the day. It is a brisk one hour walk, with few stops. It will be at a steady consistent pace so ideal for building your cardio fitness!! It is a social walk so you will have the distraction of chatting whilst exercising.
During the winter months head torches are essential so YOU can be seen as the route tends to be off the Comyn.
During the lighter evenings there is more opportunity to take this session over fields and farmland

An evening walk is the perfect way to end a busy working day, as it is an outdoors workout, which provides an opportunity to improve health and fitness.

This is a faster evening explorer walk meeting at Whitecliff Recreation Ground car park, walking for 1 hour along the seafront and around the parks including Whitecliff, Baiter and Poole park.
The route may vary and will take us around the different footpaths and open land, including around the lovely boating lake and along the seafront before finishing back at the starting point.
You may need paws for your poles as the walk uses tarmac in places as well as gravel and grass surfaces depending on the weather.
Please bring a headlight and a hi-viz band or bib once evenings get darker
