Join us for our Wednesday morning walk, a moderately-paced session covering 5-6 miles designed specifically to help you improve your endurance and speed. This walk is ideal for individuals who are comfortable maintaining a steady walking pace of 3 to 3.5 miles per hour for the entire duration. If you are looking for a consistent challenge to boost your fitness level within a supportive group environment, this walk is perfectly suited to your goals.

Walk time of 2 -2.5 hours.

Walkers are requested to arrive at the venue 10 minutes before the start time to allow for parking, shoe change, pole adjustment etc, so that the walk can start promptly at the time indicated.

Walk Description:

 Today's walk is a lovely alternative to the Pitsford Reservoir Circuit as we spend the first half of this walk looking down to the jewel of the reservoir from the fields around Holcot, before joining up with the main path to take us back to our starting point.

There are a couple of steepish hills to add a little cardio work to our walk and although there may be a couple of muddy sections most of this walk is good under foot.

As Parking is limited in Holcot Village we will meet in the Causeway Car Park. There is a £3.50 parking charge.

We will finish off with refreshments from our Car Boot Cafe with donations to a nominated charity.

Join me on an adventure, nordic walking up to 3ml on public footpaths in the south Norfolk countryside. Feel invigorated and enjoy the fresh air and nature. Get your heart pumping in these small group, Gear 2 nordic walks lasting 1-1.5hr. They take place on mixed terrain where paths can be uneven, muddy and stony.

Poles are provided for this session. Please aim to arrive 5-10min before the start time so we can begin the session promptly.

This is an outdoor activity and you will need to bring appropriate clothing and footwear for the weather and terrain which can be uneven, stony and muddy.

Please bring a water bottle and snacks and a small back pack is useful for carrying them in.

Total Body Walking has its origins in Nordic Walking and is the next step in your fitness journey. If you want to learn how to turn your walks into a Total Body WALX, then come and join the Power of Poles induction programme.

Walk Description:

Join our Guided Nordic Walk around the ancient Forest. Walks are led by our team of experienced Forestry England Volunteers. Our walks are suitable for people of all ages and fitness levels, who have completed a NWUK Learn to Walk Course and are comfortable walking for the full 90 minutes.

If you feel the full 90 minutes will not be possible please talk to the walk leader and they will arrange to bring you back to the car park after 45 minutes so that you can still enjoy a walk.

Please sign up at least 2 hours before the advertised start time so that we can ensure one of our volunteer leaders will be there.
