Gentle WALX which incorporate balance work, flexibility and strength exercises and maybe a bit of tai chi or relaxation too. All Wellness session incorporating gentle fitness walking with above activities, taught by a retired nurse. It is sociable and can be followed by a cafe visit
This is a friendly mixed ability group open to all with or without poles. Many members prefer to walk with poles as they find it is more effective than ordinary walking .When poles are used we are able to engage the upper body, core muscles, improve posture burn more calories and they can help if you have balace issues. This is a mixed ability walk and we split into 2 or 3 groups so all can walk at apace which is beneficial for the individual
Please bring a drink and any medication you may need , your mobole phone in a small rucsac.

Join Sally for a stunning walk taking us up and along the Purbeck Hills towards Creech Hill Barrow. We will access the ridge via an easier path avoiding West Hill steps. The views at the top are far reaching from every angle. The return route is dependent on weather and ground conditions. Good paths but some uneven ground, tree roots and mud at times.
Please bring water, a snack and a coffee as we will have a pit stop

This is a friendly and popular Nordic walking Group for those who have completed a Power of Poles induction course. We explore the forest trails in Delamere Forest and cover 2-3 miles. It is a sociable walk at a slower pace than the Monday walk but faster than a wellness walk. This allows us time to chat , take in our surroundings and discuss flora, fauna and historical snippets.

For those who have completed the 'Learn to' Nordic walking course. Enjoy a GENTLE full body work out while walking beside the banks of the Taw estuary, along the South West Coast path,(SWCP) Tarka trail and Home Farm Marsh before returning to the Cafe for a well-deserved “revive me” cup of coffee. Simply enjoy sociable Nordic walking in stunning locations with a mixed ability group. Walks will include Hall Place, Dartford Heath or the River Cray. The walk may be muddy if the weather has been wet. Approximately 1.5 - 3 miles No poles are required on the walk but you are welcome to use them if you prefer.
