This is a delightful and scenic walk through Thorncombe Woods and Puddletown Forest with a slight difference, we will be working on your Hill stamina. This is for everyone who is looking to improve their Hill work that includes everyone who is looking to start doing longer walks and feels unable to do so due to hills. Everything will be taken at your own level not at the person next to you.
Suitable for all abilites with or without poles.
There is a wealth of wildlife – including resident Dartmoor ponies- and a varied range of mature trees and open scrubland from which, high up, there are magnificent views of the surrounding countryside with the Purbeck Hill’s in the distance. A walk not to be missed!
We will meet in car park, there is a charge of £2 to use the car park.
Please note that there are no toilet facilities at this time.

Pace one
A 2k to 3k gentle WALX that incorporates balance work, flexibility and strength exercises and maybe a bit of yoga or relaxation too. On Monday these walks take place around Stanmore and Harrow Weald on mainly flat terrain but we do go on trails through the woods so that we can enjoy the changes in nature throughout the year.
This is a very friendly group and we are always ready to welcome new walkers who want to get back into exercise in a safe and gradual way.

A comfortably paced walk in the Gardens for you to enjoy in a social atmosphere.
The WALX Guide will lead you through a warm up, the main walk is around the Gardens where there are plenty of benches to have a rest if required and finish with a stretch.
