IT IS A 15 MINUTE FREE ASSESSMENT ON YOUR MUSCULOSKELETAL HEALTH AND LIFESTYLE.
In this session we work on helping you to get strong legs, upper body strength, ankle strength, hip stability, balaance, agility all whilst having a great laugh.
You will be working hard but at appropriate level for your ability.
Everyone is supportive and youwill be made very welcome.
YOU DO NOT NEED POLES IF YOU ARE NOT A NORDIC WALKER.
You will part your car at the Ewe and Lamb then make your way over to the field opposite The Hanbury Turn Pub.
Please be at the field by 9.25am ready for the warm up.
ONLINE CLASSES
For online classes you must ensure that you have a clear area to train (Approx 2m Square).
You must dress appropriately for the session.
You must ensure that your emergency contact details are up to date in your profile.
You will need a mat for floor exercises, a tea towel for strength exercises and a place where you can do press ups such as a kitchen work surface. If you have access to a fitness band that would be useful too.
If the class is billed as a Gymstick/Pro X Walker/Isobow owners class you MUST have these items.
INDOOR CLASSES
Bring a mat and clothing suitable for indoor fitness.
OUTDOOR CLASSES
You must be fit and healthy enoygh to take part in sessions outside on grass and other surfaces.

A walk that is focussed on improving your cardio-vascular fitness encouraging you to achieve.
It is fun and will challenge you appropriately.
You will be able to be sociable and talk but not "chat" freely as this is a fitness session not a wander.
The walk is suitable for all who have no limitations and who want to get fitter.
THE WALK LEADER WILL MANAGE THE DIFFERENT ABILITIES BY SENDING FASTER WALKERS OFF IN FRONT OR SENDING THEM BACK SO THAT EVERYONE GETS A WORKOUT DURING THIS SESSION.
There are several ways to increase fitness. You could increase distance with loads of stiops or you could have a shorter distance with less stops.
Check the description for how far we aim to cover in the time set.

A great walk for intermediate Nordic walkers, these weekly walks take place in the parks and public footpaths around Harrow, Stanmore and Ruislip.
An excellent way to start the week is with a Nordic Walx on a Monday or Wednesday in and around Stanmore and Harrow Weald. Get ready for the weekend with a stimulating Saturday morning walx around Stanmore Country Park. Or join us on a Sunday morning for a longer, faster paced walk in Ruislip Woods.

This is a great start to your week. The walk is roughly 1.5 hours. Our walk will take us through the beautiful woodland trails and bridle paths of Houghton Forest.
This walk changes weekly as there are so many wonderful areas to explore. Occasionally we will work our way to the South Downs Way to include Bury or Bignor Hill. The terrain includes hills and some chalk paths. It can be muddy underfoot on wet days but the views are worth it.
This walk is the perfect way to work on your fitness in a fabulous setting. Come and enjoy walking in the local countryside, take in the views, fresh air and company of the group, whilst being active outdoors.

Join Sally and John for a longer Adventure Walk from Durlston Country Park.
Good but uneven terrain and be prepared for mud at times. There are 2 steep hills but we can re-route if necessary so don't be put off. Wonderful meadow and coastal views.
We will have a pit stop so please bring a drink and snack.
We meet in the Learning Centre car park which is on the right hand side as you enter the park.
ANPR -pay for parking at the end of your visit. Cash or Card.

This is a friendly mixed ability group open to all with or without poles. Many members prefer to walk with poles as they find it is more effective than ordinary walking .When poles are used we are able to engage the upper body, core muscles, improve posture burn more calories and they can help if you have balace issues. This is a mixed ability walk and we split into 2 or 3 groups so all can walk at apace which is beneficial for the individual

This is a friendly and popular Nordic walking Group for those who have completed a Power of Poles induction course. We explore the forest trails in Delamere Forest and cover 2-3 miles. It is a sociable walk at a slower pace than the Monday walk but faster than a wellness walk. This allows us time to chat , take in our surroundings and discuss flora, fauna and historical snippets.

These 2 walks warm up together and then take different routes according to your ability.
Referral WALX
A comfortably paced walk in the Gardens for you to enjoy in a social atmosphere. The qualified Exercise Referral Instructor will lead you through a warm up, a short walk making stops along the way if needed and finish with a stretch. Exercise bands are often used within the walk to rest the legs, improve strength in the upper body and work on posture.
We join all Wednesday walkers after the walk for a cuppa in the park if the weather is dry.
Total Body WALX
A gentle paced walk for 45 minutes with a WALX Guide around the lake, joining all Wednesday walkers for a cuppa in the park if the weather is dry.
You can book this session without the Power of Poles training, join us walking with no poles or borrow a set from us and feel the ‘Power of Poles’.
Power of Poles training is available in Bexley.
