Use Smoveys to help your balance and co-ordination while you move. This Friday class builds the intensity from Ashley's Tuesday Smovey class, yet remains sutiable for all levels. You can use light weights or collapsed poles instead of Smoveys. The "WALX HQ Presents ..." sessions are delivered online from WALX & Nordic Walking UK head office, helping you stay active and mobile from home. All sessions are FREE for those on a monthly payment package with their local instructor.

Duration – 1 ½ hours, walk grade 3.5. The Regular Walk is a social way to get fit and stay fit. It`s aimed at walkers that can maintain a pace of 3.5 mph. After a warm up we will set off together and those that wish to walk fast can go ahead and at certain points we will gather together. This is achieved by those walking ahead will, at certain points or times, double back to the rear of the group or remaining at a pre-determined rendezvous point and practicing drills or other gentle exercises to keep warm and active.

The wellbeing walk is suitable for those who have completed the Power of Poles Introductory course/Learn to Nordic walk course and/or haven`t attended a class for a while.
This walk is also suitable for anyone coming back from an injury/illness or has medical conditions that prevent them from walking at a faster pace.
By regularly attending, you will be able to focus on increasing the intensity of your walking as fitness levels improve.

Lower Impact Fitness and Smoveys Improving functional fitness is key to every day activities. These sessions deliver exercises to improve mobility, strength, balance and coordination.
Your overall fitness including your cardio output will improve, It is a whole body workout helping you feel more energised, Using smoveys will support your upper body and core strength and increase your heartrate. As we work in a group everyone can work within their limits.
There will be plenty of opportunity to rest and all the exercises are differentiated to suit you. We use out poles to improve our core strength, balance and upper body range of movement.
