Starting beside the Victoria Pub, this route quickly immerses you in woodland.
As you gain height, the trees open to occasional glimpses of the surrounding countryside. Partway through, the path links up with the Compton Walk.
After the initial climb, the terrain becomes gentler, allowing you to enjoy the peace of the woods and the varied birdlife. Expect a total walking time of around 1 hour 15 minutes, depending on pace and breaks.
Tip: Wear sturdy footwear, especially after rain, as the roots and inclines can be slippery.

Description of the Walk: From the car park the WALX Guide will lead you through the park, around the lake and into the beautifully cared for English Garden. Approximately 1.5-2.0 miles. There is a footpath that is suitable for pushchairs, wheelchairs, and mobility scooters.
