In this session we work on helping you to get strong legs, upper body strength, ankle strength, hip stability, balaance, agility all whilst having a great laugh.
You will be working hard but at appropriate level for your ability.
Everyone is supportive and youwill be made very welcome.
YOU DO NOT NEED POLES IF YOU ARE NOT A NORDIC WALKER.
You will part your car at the Ewe and Lamb then make your way over to the field opposite The Hanbury Turn Pub.
Please be at the field by 9.25am ready for the warm up.
ONLINE CLASSES
For online classes you must ensure that you have a clear area to train (Approx 2m Square).
You must dress appropriately for the session.
You must ensure that your emergency contact details are up to date in your profile.
You will need a mat for floor exercises, a tea towel for strength exercises and a place where you can do press ups such as a kitchen work surface. If you have access to a fitness band that would be useful too.
If the class is billed as a Gymstick/Pro X Walker/Isobow owners class you MUST have these items.
INDOOR CLASSES
Bring a mat and clothing suitable for indoor fitness.
OUTDOOR CLASSES
You must be fit and healthy enoygh to take part in sessions outside on grass and other surfaces.

Chi Ball is a mixture of Tai Chi, Yoga and Pilates. The Tai Chi and Dance section is in standing and the Yoga, Pilates and Relaxation is on a mat.
The sequences change with the seasons concentrating on different areas of the body.
A chi ball is used but a toilet roll or small pilates/yoga ball is ok to use. If you want to invest in a chi ball then I can send you the details of where to get one from.

The POWER OF THE POLES Induction process is suitable for all levels and is a structured teaching programme. There are 2 Courses of one and a half hours each. Course 1 is designed to provide sufficient knowledge for someone to be proficient at using poles. Course 2 is an optional further course for those wanting to explore a more in-depth knowledge of walking with poles and the traditional Nordic Technique. I will help you to understand your current level of fitness and empower you to use poles at the correct intensity in order to get the results you want.
These courses will ensure you master the technique of using poles and change the way you walk for life. Course 1 will cover the following:
Mastering the power of Fitness Walking polesGear 1: Mastering the arm swing, upper body engagement and pole plant angle.
Gear 2: Gaining propulsion from the pole and toe push, adapting pole position for hills and tailoring technique to your fitness, mobility and personal goals.
You will experience different poles types, the core ledge and straps in order to select the technique and poles that are right for YOU!
At the end of this session, you will have a full understanding of using poles correctly and be at a level where you will be issued with the NWUK Freedom Passport, allowing you to join walks & classes.
Dress to suit the weather, ensuring that you have suitable footwear. Please bring water in a small rucksack or bumbag, so that your hands are free. All poles are provided

The Blue Pool is a magical environment at this time of year and will be made even more special as we will be meeting up with all the other groups for mince pies and drinks at the cafe. This will be our main Christmas gathering so please come and enjoy.

This walk close to the River Nidd follows the National Cycle Network Route from Ripley to the Nidd Viaduct and returns by the same route. The mostly tarmac surface allows for a fairly fast-paced walk, is usually about 3.5 miles and takes about 90 minutes, but with scope to extend the walk towards Old Bilton.

A brisk walk along the acorn trail with slight slopes with heart raisers and cooling down periods.
Walk at your own pace to create your rhythm
Hawkswood often an alternative to Scadbury . HAWKSWOOD - park outside church opposite Tigers head public house,chistlehurst. walk is a little longer but predominantly flat unless additional loops added in which case allow 90 mins to 2 hrs. lovely countryside walk .
Footscray meadows - meet at becks farm north cray road Sidcup in the car park . walk along the river and meadows trails in the grassland and the woods . Followed by a coffee or drink in Penelope's cafe and garden centre .
TROSLEY country park - This is a beautiful walk within 170 acres of beutiful woodland and chalk downland. There are spectacular views over the north downs . There is a circular wider path along with other trails and woodlands. Often a display of wildlife and wild flowers.
My adventure walks are longer and take us out of the park and through some small villages leading us back within. Often lunch/drinks are bought and consumed as a picnic or within the pub. Breaks can be taken.
