Come along to this Nordic Explorer WALX.
This one-hour walk will follow part of the Nar Valley Way and enable us to enjoy some of the great countryside views. We will take the opportunity to walk down to the Mill, via an avenue of trees before stopping for a few minutes to enjoy watching the water flow down the River Nar. There is always something to see there! We will then loop back to the Village via a different route.
This Explorer WALX session is open to walkers who do not wish, or are not able, to use poles. This session is suited to those who are looking to improve their fitness and can walk at a minimum pace of 2 mph.

From Corfe Mullen recreation ground we walk down to a series of fields taking in the views across to
Badbury rings and Wimborne Minster.
This is a walk of many parts, rural lanes with Lady Wimborne houses, a small holding with pigs and goats.
A nature reserve which has a Roman road, nearby ancient barrows and a disused Victorian railway.
The whole area is part of the Corfe Barrow Nature Park. There are information boards to have a look at as
we go round.

For the Home Weights workout with Denise, all you need is something you can hold in your hands to use as an added resistance. It could be a set of weights or dumb-bells or, alternatively, you could use washing softener bottles or plastic milk bottles filled with water. You could use wet towels in a plastic bag or bags of potatoes (anything you can hold in each hand). The "WALX HQ Presents ..." sessions are delivered online from WALX & Nordic Walking UK head office, helping you stay active and mobile from home. This is a delightful and gentle scenic walk through Thorncombe Woods.
Suitable for all abilites with or without poles.
There is a wealth of wildlife – including resident Dartmoor ponies- and a varied range of mature trees and open scrubland from which, high up, there are magnificent views of the surrounding countryside with the Purbeck Hill’s in the distance. A walk not to be missed!
We will meet in car park, there is a charge of £1 per hour, to use the car park.
Throughout the walk we will be observing the social distancing as best as possible at all times.

Duration – 1 ½ hours, walk grade - 3. Not everyone walks at the same pace! The Regular Walk is a social way to get fit and stay fit. It`s aimed at moderate paced walkers and above. After a warm up we will set off together and those that wish to walk fast can go ahead and at certain points we will gather together. This is achieved by those walking ahead will, at certain points or times, double back to the rear of the group or remaining at a pre-determined rendezvous point and practicing drills or other gentle exercises to keep warm and active.

This session is for those who at looking for something different and and opportunity to improve your stamina and endurance.
It will be a non stop 60min walk, aiming to do 10/11 min/km. Average walking pace is 12/14 min/km.
This is a moderate/ high moderate level, at a slighlty higher intensity compared to the regular walks.
We will be focsing on improving the way walk, and keeping up the pace.
We will be doing loops, laps and drills in some of your favourite locations. This is new type of walk WALX Leamington and Warwick have scheduled until Easter.
