Our Easy Thursday morning walks are a great way to practice your technique and take a gentle approach to improving your technique. Great for those new to nordic walking or those looking for an easier walk level.
Nordic Walking is a specific fitness technique and is not to be confused with trekking, hill walking or trail running as the poles are not planted in front of the walker/runner but in a specific way that increases the use of the upper body. It can be done by anybody, anywhere and does not require expensive equipment or clothing.
Note: To participate in regular Nordic WALX, you must have completed our Nordic Freedom Course.

Enjoy sociable Nordic Walking for Freedom Passport holders in a variety of locations with a mixed ability group.
Lead by accredited instructors or leaders, these walks make the most of our beautiful countryside and are a relaxing way to enjoy being active outdoors, at the same time as improving your fitness and wellbeing.

A purposeful small group nordic walk, up to 2 miles at gear 1-2. May include stopping for simple breathing, balance, strengthening and flexibility exercises.This walk is suitable for those new to walking outdoors, with health conditions or recovering from illness/ injury.
Poles are provided for this session. Please aim to arrive 5-10min before the start time so we can begin the session promptly.
This is an outdoor activity and you will need to bring appropriate clothing and footwear for the weather and terrain which can be uneven, stony and muddy.
Please bring a water bottle and snacks and a small back pack is useful for carrying them in.

Kedleston Park is perfectly designed for enjoyable walking, be it on one of the graded woodland walks or beside attractive lakes made by damming Cutler Brook.
