Friday Cafe Nordic Walx - this is up to 2 hours and 5 miles often followed by a coffee at a local cafe or bring your own flask for an after walk coffee and chat. 

Nordic Walking is a specific fitness technique and is not to be confused with trekking, hill walking or trail running as the poles are not planted in front of the walker/runner but in a specific way that increases the use of the upper body. It can be done by anybody, anywhere and does not require expensive equipment or clothing.

Your qualified Instructor will help you understand your current level of fitness and empower you to use poles at the correct intensity in order to get the results you want.

Join us for this lovely scenic spring time walk along the Thames Estuary. The route starts at Shoeburyness Train Station and ends at Leigh-on-Sea Train Stain (approximately 8 miles in total) but if you want to do a shorter distance, you can exit mid-point at Southend. The 8-mile walk starts at 9:45 from Shoeburyness Station.  If you’re travelling to Shoeburyness by train the group will meet at the Upminster Station for 8:35 to travel on  the 8:53 C2C train scheduled to arrive in Shoeburyness at 9:33. A return ticket on the Group Save offer will save you a 1/3 when a minimum of 3 people purchases rail tickets to travel together. You can buy in advance on-line or at the station on the day. Optional stops for breaks will be at Southend and Leigh-on-Sea for lunch/refreshments. Ticket Cost Approx £9.45

This walk along the North Devon coast includes a section of the South West Coast National Trail.
