Join Sally & John for a much longer adventure around Hartland Moor and Middlebere to see it in all its glory. We walk on the old tramway taking in a wide range of habitats and landscapes affording excellent and lesser seen views of Corfe Castle and Hartland Moor. Mainly flat with a gentle hill.
Free off road parking. No toilets.
Aunt Sally's Basket for Coffee and Mince Pies.
Please arrive in good time as the parking can be a bit unpredictable.
The parking area is about a mile past Scotland Farm on the back road between the Purbeck Park and Ride and Arne. Narrow road with uneven surface. Please use what3 words or look at a map. Join Mandy and Heather for this spectacular walk. We trek come of the Vanguard way taking in beautiful country views. The terrain is undulating and takes us over public bridleway and paved tracks which can get muddy if it has rained hard.

A brisk walk along the acorn trail with slight slopes with heart raisers and cooling down periods.
Walk at your own pace to create your rhythm
Hawkswood often an alternative to Scadbury . HAWKSWOOD - park outside church opposite Tigers head public house,chistlehurst. walk is a little longer but predominantly flat unless additional loops added in which case allow 90 mins to 2 hrs. lovely countryside walk .
Footscray meadows - meet at becks farm north cray road Sidcup in the car park . walk along the river and meadows trails in the grassland and the woods . Followed by a coffee or drink in Penelope's cafe and garden centre .
TROSLEY country park - This is a beautiful walk within 170 acres of beutiful woodland and chalk downland. There are spectacular views over the north downs . There is a circular wider path along with other trails and woodlands. Often a display of wildlife and wild flowers.
My adventure walks are longer and take us out of the park and through some small villages leading us back within. Often lunch/drinks are bought and consumed as a picnic or within the pub. Breaks can be taken.

The only criteria being, you must be able to hold a good comfortable pace for an hour. If you`re not sure if this class is suitable for you, then please get in touch.

We are excited to welcome newcomers to the use of poles to exercise the whole body while walking. Using poles will engage your core, improve posture and take the weight off lower body joints. It enables you to exercise outdoors which is great for your mental health as well.

The POWER of POLES Induction is totally unique in that it explores the use of both strapless and Nordic walking poles to aid the user gain the best technique and results! Taught over 2 sessions of 1.5 hours duration, the second being optional, the course starts with the strapless moulded handle fitness walking poles devised by WALX and FIZAN
This enables you to gain greater core engagement and master the upper elements that provide propulsion, support and increased exercise benefits. Once you have mastered these essential basics you get to explore the traditional Nordic walking straps and movements. The second session of the Power of Poles is optional and will be listed separately at a convenient date for you.

Stourpaine to Shillingston Forest round to Durweston Mill
This is a beautiful walk taking you through the Stour Valley from Stourpaine looking over towards Hod Hill and Hambledon Hill before turning away to Shillingston Forest.
We enter the forest area with a little steep hill and then moving onto a long gradual slope up towards the ridge. Before we get to the top there is a short very steep section which you can take your time over.
Once on the ridge you will have wonderful far reaching views looking over towards the Isle of Wight. We descend through an amazing glade coming out onto fields just before Durweston.
We go through the Durweston Village and down a lane to the Mill which has a large pool area. Then a short walk back through Stourpaine to the cars.
Walk 2 - This is a harder walk which has steeper hills to reach the top of Shillingston Forest.
It is equally beautiful as the walk above however we are taking a slightly different route going past the Durweston Mill and then up into the forest via Durweston Village.
We will meet up with the Walk 1 path once on the ridge and then follow a similar route back.

For the Home Weights Workout all you need is something you can hold in your hands to use as an added resistance. It could be a set of weights or dumb-bells, alternatively you could use washing softener bottles or plastic milk bottles filled with water. You could use wet towels in a plastic bag or bags of potatoes (anything you can hold in each hand).
This is a fun session you can do in the comfort of your own home but share the experience with others. This session is a whole body workout that you can do in very little space.
We will challenge you to make it effective, however, alternatives are offered throughout to cater for fitness levels and injuries etc.

This is a Gear 2 walk and is approximately 4 miles with a couple of short-ish steep ramps and some longer hills. The walk is along hard tracks and lovely turf. It is a great fitness improver for those who want to include some hill work into their exercise routine.
Gear 1 - A nice, easy and natural pace that you can do for extended periods with recovery periods where appropriate. Short hills might be introduced.
Gear 2 - A faster pace gained through technique. There will be less recovery time.
