Our easy morning walks are a gentle level walk with no reall hills that will take in scenic spots around the area
From one hour WALX in your local country park to a half day in the hills, our Explorer WALX capture the variety of scenery, themes and types of WALX that suit your lifestyle. If you love WALX to the pub or WALX with the dog or simply WALX in wild locations we have them all! Whether long, short, tough or gentle we welcome all ages and all levels.
This is a great level to start with on when you are getting into group walking, building your fitness or recovering from injury.

Description of the Walk: From the car park the WALX Guide will lead you through the park, around the lake and into the beautifully cared for English Garden. Approximately 1.5-2.0 miles. There is a footpath that is suitable for pushchairs, wheelchairs, and mobility scooters.

A Gentle and safe way to walk yourself fitter! These walks use poles to improve general fitness and increase joint mobility (Pace approx 2-3 miles p/hr)

A moderate-paced walk WALX in Kedleston`s glorious parkland, set around hundreds of acres of green sward and lakes, with tinkering waterfalls where wildfowl are in plenty. Kedleston Park is perfectly designed for enjoyable walking, be it on one of the graded woodland walks or beside attractive lakes made by damming Cutler Brook.

Join this friendly mixed ability group. Many members prefer to walk with poles as they find it is more effective than ordinary walking .(When poles are used we are able to engage the upper body, core muscles, improve posture, help balance and burn more calories)
These walks will be ideal for anyone recovering from Covid or other health conditions and those walkers who want a gentle return to fitness levels.

Rockford common is an area of open heathland and woodland. The area is rich in wildlife and is an SSSI.
It is usual to see New Forest ponies and donkeys. A walk with lovely views. Today's walk goes right down to
Linford Bottom and along the river before circling back through the woods.
Free parking in two NT carparks.

Join us for a 5 mile walk in 2 parts. Small ferry across to Piel island near Barrow in Furness. Piel castle was built as a fortress by the Monks of Furness Abbey against the Pirates and Scots raiders.
A walk round the small island, looking at the pub, pilot houses and castle, enjoy a packed lunch looking over the bay, catching the ferry back over and walking to Roose railway station.
It is essential to register and book in advance online.
