This walk truly is a FAB Thursday boost - approx an hour at moderate Gear 2 pace with Gear 3 options. Our walk will take us out through Eaton Park and across into the UEA with plenty of choices right from the start. These walks differ each week; from saying hello to the donkeys above the Yare Valley Marshes and circumnavigating the Broad to following routes along the Yare and visiting the often-missed Earlham Hall. There’s so much to see on wide grassy paths. No wonder we LOVE it here.
Enjoy the views, fresh air and company of the group while also being active outdoors. These walks alter each week but will be approx 3 miles.

Lyme Park Nordic Walks
Come and join us on a social walk on a circular route of around 5km within the Historic Estate of Lyme Park.
Nestling on the edge of the Peak District, Lyme was once home to the Legh family, and in its heyday a great sporting estate.
The estate is 1400 acres, so offers lots of different walks with stunning views, and we may see some of their famous deer herd too.
Optional coffee and cake afterwards in The Timberyard Cafe.

A walk that is focussed on improving your cardio-vascular fitness encouraging you to achieve.
It is fun and will challenge you appropriately.
You will be able to be sociable and talk but not "chat" freely as this is a fitness session not a wander.
The walk is suitable for all who have no limitations and who want to get fitter.
THE WALK LEADER WILL MANAGE THE DIFFERENT ABILITIES BY SENDING FASTER WALKERS OFF IN FRONT OR SENDING THEM BACK SO THAT EVERYONE GETS A WORKOUT DURING THIS SESSION.
There are several ways to increase fitness. You could increase distance with loads of stiops or you could have a shorter distance with less stops.

This route will take us through Spixworth Woods and out down Quaker Lane. Very pretty countryside. We will then cross the NDR and head back along the cycle path. A great path to get into the Nordic Swing...at a Gear 2 pace.

Each week we focus on specific balance activities to activate the core and improve our equilibrium such as `clock` work, `tight rope`, `flamingo stand` and `superman`.

A gentle safe way to walk yourself fitter! These walks include exercises that help with flexibility, balance and strength whilst using poles to improve general fitness and increase joint mobility. Suitable for those who want to build up to the longer or more vigorous walks or may have concerns about their health.

Chi Ball is a mixture of Tai Chi, Yoga and Pilates. The Tai Chi and Dance section is in standing and the Yoga, Pilates and Relaxation is on a mat.
The sequences change with the seasons concentrating on different areas of the body.
The Autumn is associated with the Metal element, which governs the lung and large intestine.
A chi ball is used but a toilet roll or small pilates/yoga ball is ok to use. If you want to invest in a chi ball then I can send you the details of where to get one from.

Marple Bridge Adventure Walks
12:00-13:30 using Gears 1 and maybe 2 with some hills
Come along and join us on easy paced social walks of around 5km (3miles), on varied circular routes around the village of Marple Bridge. There are canals, country parks, woodland, riverside paths, bridlepaths and some industrial heritage too.
We meet in the Free Car Park just above The Midland Hotel on Brabyns Brow, The red bays are 4 hours "Short Stay" so if one is free grab it!

Disley Nordic Walks
Meeting at the War Memorial in Disley (in front of The Rams Head) we`ll have a warm-up before we head off exploring the magnificent countryside around the Parish of Disley. It varies from urban to rural very quickly with differing views to be had on each walk. There may be the opportunity to grab a coffee once the walk has finished.
The walks are advertised at 90mins but they may take a little longer than that, due to terrain, weather.
