One of our all-time favourites, this walk starts from Ripley, heads north following the Nidderdale Way up to High Cayton then loops round towards Newton Hall before returning to Ripley. The walk is just under 5 miles, and takes about 2 hours. Conducted mostly in gear 2, the walk also offers some long stretches on an even surface to notch the pace up a gear!

Join Sally for a class which has a focus on 'walking well' with or without poles, in 2 parts. There will be some drills and a Smovey session for 45 minutes followed by a gentle walk for 45 minutes. You are welcome to join for the whole session or either of the 2 parts.

The wellbeing walk is suitable for those who have completed the Power of Poles Introductory course/Learn to Nordic walk course and/or haven`t attended a class for a while.
This walk is also suitable for anyone coming back from an injury/illness or has medical conditions that prevent them from walking at a faster pace.
By regularly attending, you will be able to focus on increasing the intensity of your walking as fitness levels improve.
