We will visit 4 locations in rotation, Stour Meadows where we will hopefully get to see the Kingfishers and the Otters, Field Grove woods for the birds and possible Deer, The Mildown for birds and whilst it is still fairly dark the possibilty of a Bat or two circling over head and then Stourpaine for the beautful scenery with lots of sheep up on Hod Hill plus Deer when we cross the River Stour.

Duration – 1 ½ hours, walk grade 3.5. The Regular Walk is a social way to get fit and stay fit. It`s aimed at walkers that can maintain a pace of 3.5 mph. After a warm up we will set off together and those that wish to walk fast can go ahead and at certain points we will gather together. This is achieved by those walking ahead will, at certain points or times, double back to the rear of the group or remaining at a pre-determined rendezvous point and practicing drills or other gentle exercises to keep warm and active.

This workout walk will include a short walk along the South West Coast National Trail if the tide is in or will take in the Rudyard Kipling poem etched along the promenade should the tide be out as a precursor to the scheduled workout. Chi Ball is a mixture of Tai Chi, Yoga and Pilates.
The Tai Chi and Dance section is in standing and the Yoga, Pilates and Relaxation is on a mat.
The sequences change with the seasons concentrating on different areas of the body.
A chi ball is used but a toilet roll or small pilates/yoga ball is ok to use.
If you want to invest in a chi ball then I can send you the details of where to get one from.

Note 10.20am meet up for a prompt 10.30am start. Led by Walk Leader, Miriam Kletz The Fire up your Friday walk is an moderate pace of around 5-6 miles, ideal for those who who would like to build their distance and stamina. The walks are based in countryside locations easily accessed from the East Lancashire Road (A580) or M56/M60/M62/M61 corridors. Get some great Nordic Walking exercise, fresh air and chat! When allowed/feasible there is an optional brew stop at a local cafe or pub after the walk or sometimes a bring your own mid walk 'Rucksack cafe'.
THIS MONTH - Join Miriam for a Circular Walk from Spud Wood Car Park, Lymm to Dunham Woodhouses. This walk is between 5 & 6 miles depending on the conditions on the day. Starting from Spud Wood, the route takes us along the Bridgewater canal towards Little Bollington where we head towards Dunham Woodhouses. We follow the Bollin Way through fields adjacent to the river - if the ground is too wet we will join the Trans Pennine trail after Dunham Woodhouses, the walk will be a little longer if this is the case but easier under foot. We return to Spud Wood via Oughtrightington and the canal.No toilet facilities during the walk but plenty of places for a 'wild stop'. The nearest facilities are at the lovely cafes in Lymm Village if you want to stop for a drink before the walk, or at Lymm Truck Stop services on the roundabout at the junction of the M6 & M56. As there is no lunch after this walk, please bring a hot drink & a snack with you.
Meeting point: Spud Wood Car Park, Stage Lane, WA13 9JP - Leave the M56 at either junction 7 or 8 depending on which direction you are coming from. At the Bowden roundabout take the A56 Lymm Road. Turn right onto Warrington Road. Turn right onto the B5169 cross over the canal bridge then turn left into Stage Lane. The entrance to the recently enlarged & resurfaced car park is on the left hand side.

We will meet at the top end of the Crow Point car park at 11.00am and then take a gentle stroll out onto the beach. Depending on wind direction and strength, we will either walk around the point or cut through the middle. We might walk back along the Board Walk if we get that far, otherwise we will just return along the shoreline.
If open, we will have a coffee back at 51 Degrees North, on the side of Tesco's.
