Our search portal makes it easy to find and book Learn to Nordic walk tuition and walks that suit YOU.  We have over 2,000 walks a week to choose from - all lead by friendly qualified teams. Choose from 3 types of regular walks, 3 simple ways to pay and be part of the Nordic Walking UK community! If there are none near you - we also offer an on line course.

Learn the basics

Book a Power of Poles 90 minute intro session near you or book our  new on line course to learn how to Nordic walk at the right level for YOU

Your Qualified NWUK Instructor will match the poles and technique to suit YOUR fitness levels and goals.

If you have Nordic walked before - ask your local Instructor for a refresher session.

Meet our friendly team, make new friends, have fun getting outdoors and learn about more Nordic walking in your area.

Gain your passport

Upon completion of any NWUK tuition or technique refresher session, you will gain the FREEDOM Passport code which will open up a world of Nordic walks for you to choose from.

This code and the medical screening we have in place makes sure that you will never end up on a walk that's too fast, too slow, too far or not far enough!

Activities are described in full so you can make sure that it will be at a pace, distance and intensity that suits your needs.

Once you enter the code into your account, it will open up a world of walks for you to choose from plus access to our unique membership club.

For regular walks you can choose how to pay with our 3 simple payment options.

1. Simply Pay as you Go - select the walk and pay by card

2. Opt for a Pre Paid package and save on your regular Nordic walks

3. Pay monthly via our low cost Direct Debit** and enjoy unlimited walks with your local group plus one free walk per month with any other participating NWUK or WALX  groups across the UK

These Nordic walks make every step count! Nordic workout walks are a unique mix of drills, strength exercises, plus the use of nordic walking poles for pace and technique.  Delivered by our fully qualified Instructors who will plan Nordic workouts that include all aspects of fitness and make the most of being active outdoors!

Nordic walking  technique sessions include initial tuition courses like the Power of poles but also advanced technique sessions. Our Instructors will cover the use of strapless and strapped poles plus speedhyking (moving at speed with poles) and training for challenge walks
