An interesting walk that takes in everything the lovely Saxon town of Wareham has to offer including WALX HQ! Join us for a walk along the Saxon walls to explore the history and how integral the two rivers are to the town and major historical events. We will explore how Alfred the Great fought off the Vikings and built the only example of Saxon walls that remain so well formed.
The walk then wanders into delightful water meadows before heading back to the ancient Quay. There are plenty of cafes in Wareham.
We will start at Stretche road car park and finish at WALX Hub in West st.

A fabulous Circular walk from the village of Westdean to the Top of the Trundle and back down .
Panoramic views from the Top.
This walk goes through Woodland to reach the base of the Trundle with views right across to the Sea.
The Climb is steady, but if you choose, you can stretch yourself further and push right up to top of the Trundle and view the race course and surrounding hills.
Coming down we will walk along fields and down a green slope often full of sheep until we reach the lower path back to the start.

This monthly Adventure walk explores many of the trails of Epping Forest. Suitable for both workout walkers and wellbeing walkers, this walk is intended to showcase different parts of the forest by going further afield.
The walks are between 5-6 miles in distance and the duration between 90 mins and 1 hour 45 mins, depending on the route chosen. This is more of a social walk but there are opportunities for those who would like to, to push the pace on. This walk has something for everyone and is a great way to improve stamina and endurance, hence improving fitness levels further, whilst adding variety, at the same time.
