Walk Description:

Duration – 1 ½ hours, walk grade 3.5.  The Regular Walk is a social way to get fit and stay fit.  It`s aimed at walkers that can maintain a pace of 3.5 mph.  After a warm up we will set off together and those that wish to walk fast can go ahead and at certain points we will gather together.  This is achieved by those walking ahead will, at certain points or times, double back to the rear of the group or remaining at a pre-determined rendezvous point and practicing drills or other gentle exercises to keep warm and active.

These walks are a great opportunity to exercise and meet and chat to other walkers. They are of moderate pace with the opportunity should you wish to push yourself a little further. You will walk with a qualified walk leader or master. These walks start at different locations to give you the enjoyment of walking in the surrounding countryside of your local area.

These walks are often lead  by qualified walk leaders and can be from an hour to 3 hours long. It is a moderate  paced walk with a few stops. An hours social walk naturally tends to be  at a quick pace than the 90+ minutes.

Higher Impact Fitness Stamina and endurance

Want to take your fitness and strength to the next level? This is the one for you!! This instructor led session will improve your muscular strength, resistance, endurance.

It is a full body intense  workout. Exercises are differentiated to suit your level of fitness.

Bands are used for resistance work and smoveys will improve your cardio.

a strength & conditioning session, designed to improve our overall body strength, core strength, mobility, flexibility and balance. The session comprises:- A short dynamic warm up to get us ready for the exercises to follow; A main section targetting key muscle groups to support and enhance our longer term Walking capabilities; and A controlled cool down, to enhance recovery.   Nordic Walking can quickly build your general fitness, but adding some specific exercises will help you to perform better and keep improving your fitness.
