This is a great walk to increase your fitness. The walk is roughly 1 hour long. Our walk will take us through the beautiful streets and country paths around East Grinstead.
This walk changes weekly as there are so many wonderful areas to explore. The terrain includes hills and fast flats and can be muddy underfoot on wet evenings.
This walk is the perfect way to work on your fitness in a fabulous setting. Come and enjoy walking, take in the views, fresh air and company of the group, whilst being active outdoors.
If you have a head torch feel free to bring it with you on the darker evenings.

This is an early morning walk to get you ready for the day. We will visit 4 locations in rotation, Stour Meadows where we will hopefully get to see the Kingfishers and the Otters, Field Grove woods for the birds and possible Deer, The Mildown for birds and whilst it is still fairly dark the possibilty of a Bat or two circling over head and then Stourpaine for the beautful scenery with lots of sheep up on Hod Hill plus Deer when we cross the River Stour.

The Fan Dance - walking from The Grill Station (GS) to a gate. The walk to the next gate and then back to the GS. That's your first fan (or petal). You then go to another gate, round to the adjoining gate and back to the GS. And so on.
Do as many petals as you have time for. If you only have 90 minutes just do the first 2 petals.
Duration – 1 ½ hours plus, walk grade 3.5. The Regular Walk is a social way to get fit and stay fit. It`s aimed at walkers that can maintain a pace of 3.5 mph. After a warm up we will set off together and those that wish to walk fast can go ahead and at certain points we will gather together. This is achieved by those walking ahead will, at certain points or times, double back to the rear of the group or remaining at a pre-determined rendezvous point and practicing drills or other gentle exercises to keep warm and active.

This session is more about strength and conditioning than walking, but still we walk with the poles between exercise stations. All exercises are optional but are designed to help with flexibility, balance and strength. There are no hills in this session.
Gear 1 - A nice, easy and natural pace that you can do for extended periods with recovery periods where appropriate. Short hills might be introduced.
Gear 2 - A faster pace gained through technique. There will be less recovery time.

In this session we work on helping you to get strong legs, upper body strength, ankle strength, hip stability, balaance, agility all whilst having a great laugh.
You will be working hard but at appropriate level for your ability.
Everyone is supportive and youwill be made very welcome.
YOU DO NOT NEED POLES IF YOU ARE NOT A NORDIC WALKER.
You will part your car at the Ewe and Lamb then make your way over to the field opposite The Hanbury Turn Pub.
Please be at the field by 9.25am ready for the warm up.
ONLINE CLASSES
For online classes you must ensure that you have a clear area to train (Approx 2m Square).
You must dress appropriately for the session.
You must ensure that your emergency contact details are up to date in your profile.
You will need a mat for floor exercises, a tea towel for strength exercises and a place where you can do press ups such as a kitchen work surface. If you have access to a fitness band that would be useful too.
If the class is billed as a Gymstick/Pro X Walker/Isobow owners class you MUST have these items.
INDOOR CLASSES
Bring a mat and clothing suitable for indoor fitness.
OUTDOOR CLASSES
You must be fit and healthy enoygh to take part in sessions outside on grass and other surfaces.
