Walk Description:

 

Walk well, experience poles for improved posture and total body walking, and perform balance and strength exercises in the woods. These FREE 75mins sessions give you a clear idea of what WALX is all about!

Based from The Spaniards Inn and exploring the quieter areas of Hampstead Heath, WALX Hampstead offers a weekly programme of Nordic and fitness walking classes for health, fitness, strength, improved posture and sociality.

Our programme includes:

Total Body WALX - a walking class incorporating functional strength exercises and cardiovascular bursts for improved fitness Wellness WALX - a walking class incorporating gentle strength, balance and coordination exercises for improved posture, stability and exercise confidence Nordic WALX - using Total Body Walking poles, we turn a walk into a workout. Feel the improved posture and upper body exercise provided with effective pole use French WALX - a fitness walk, with or without poles, but in French. Aimed at those who would like to improve or just practice their conversational French while getting fitter Explorer WALX - longer social walks further afield, exploring walking routes in and around London, and walking holidays. Next year, we're off to Puglia!

With such a range, this WALX Discovery Session gives you a little taste of each so you can determine which class types appeal to you.

 

Location Notes:

Meet at rear of car park. Free car parking on site - just enter your car registration inside the pub. If car park is full, there is free on-street car parking on surrounding roads. If travelling by public transport, Spaniards Inn is a 1-mile walk from Hampstead Underground Station. The 210 bus stops by the pub, and runs from Archway tube station (12mins) or Golders Green tube station (7mins). Get in touch for more advice on location.
