Walk Description:

A stroll through lowland heath.

The heath is made up of lowland, wetland, grassland and heather with pines and birch woodlands.

A green flag awarded park.

Most of the trails are wide gravel tracks but there are areas which have tree roots. 3/4 of the walk is flat

the rest slightly undulating.

We will walk for approx 3 miles. This is a sociably paced walk.

We can stop at the toilets on our route back before returning to the cars.

Parking is at St Ives End lane and we access the country park over a foot bridge/steps.

Park at the footbridge end where the small residential park is.

Ground nesting birds so dogs on short leads accepted.

Location Notes:

Parking in road near residential park home site. Entry to Avon Heath over pedestrian bridge. Toilets in the park. Cows on site. (CP)
