Walk Description:

The Summer Solstice ushers in the warmest season and reminds us that the season is short, slipping away day by day. And it's the perfect time to enjoy nature!

Celebrate the Summer Solstice and the longest day of the year with our fabulous 4 mile adventure walk.

Starting at WHIPPENDELL WOODS, we head towards our vantage point for the full sunrise. We will spend a few minutes here, enjoying the peace of the full sunrise.

We then continue our walk to our woodland setting for a delicious buffet breakfast.

If you need to hire poles, please message Tracy in advance. There is a £2 hire charge. Pole hire subject to availability.

CANCELLATIONS

You are free to cancel your booking using the booking system up to 7 days before the walk commences.

If you need to cancel your booking within 7 days of the start time of the event, you must contact Tracy Reeve by telephone on 07792 070286. Please do not remove yourself from the attendance list.  

Any refund will be discretionary and will be dependent on you contacting Tracy Reeve (or nominated deputy) in advance. If you are a Direct Debit member you may be charged the full walk price. When there is a special event listed the LATE CANCELLATION policy may be more than 24 or 48 hours and will be noted in the walk description. 

Please ensure your PARQ is up to date and you discuss any changes to your health or medication with your walk leader.  

Please also ensure that you have any medication that you might need with you for the walk.  

We would ask you to arrive at least 10 minutes before the start time of the walk so that you can get warmed up safely.  

Location Notes:

PLEASE USE W3W TO LOCATE THIS VENUE The car park is half way along Grove Mill Lane. From Hempstead Road, drive down Grove Mill Lane, around the tight bend, then keep going up the hill towards the woods - car park appears very suddenly on the left opposite to the Grove Hotel golf course. Restricted width entrance. Some lovely wide woodland pathways and particularly nice when the blue bells are out! Routes that include Whippendell Woods, Harrocks Wood and crossing the Golf course. Routes from this venue may include paved pathways, woodland footpaths, tracks and open fields and moderate inclines. LOW LIKELIHOOD OF MEETING LIVESTOCK No Toilets available at this venue
