Walk Description:
A fast-paced workout walk of approximately 6 miles aiming for a pace of 15 min/mile.
Mostly fast Gear 2 with frequent bursts of sustained Gear 3. Mixed terrain.
This fast-paced workout walk is a great way to get results, fast!
If you need to hire poles, please email nordicwalkingwatford@gmail.com. There is a £2 hire charge to the walk leader on the day and pole hire subject to availability.
You need to have completed Session 2 of the POP course and be familiar with Gear 3 in order to participate in our WORKOUT pace walks

CANCELLATIONS
You are free to cancel your booking using the booking system up to the start time of the walk.
Please bear in mind that the walk leader may have already left home and may not pick up a late cancellation in a timely manner.
If you are cancelling within an hour of the walk, please try to contact the walk leader personally to let them know you are not attending.
Please ensure your PARQ is up to date and you discuss any changes to your health or medication with your walk leader.
Please also ensure that you have any medication that you might need with you for the walk.
We would ask you to arrive at least 10 minutes before the start time of the walk so that you can get warmed up safely.
Location Notes:
PLEASE USE W3W TO LOCATE THIS VENUE The main car park where we will meet is on The Common (West Common), near The Cricketers pub (AL3 7ND). If the car park is full, there is side of road parking on some of the nearby roads (e.g. East Common or Fish Street) and another car park on North Common. Following the road towards the High Street, there is a cosy little cafe called The Hub (a cyclists haven) on the corner of Fish Street and the High Street. Routes from this venue may include paved pathways, woodland footpaths, tracks and open fields and gentle to moderate inclines.
