Walk Description:
Eyam, Grindleford, Calver, Coombes Dale
Splendid views and regular reminders of the terrible hardships endured of the village of Eyam, make this a very special walk. The first part of the walk leads you down towards the River Derwent where we pick up the Derwent Valley Way. Taking in some of Derbyshire's many green lanes, with field paths and a steep-sided limestone dale droving routes, through workings connected with a quarry it's a small part of a fascinating walk through true limestone country.
