Walk Description:

A sociable, moderately paced ADVENTURE walk of approximately 3 miles with a pace of 17-18 min/mile.

Mostly a Gear 2 walk with occasional short bursts of gear 3 where appropriate and on mixed terrain.  

Lead by accredited instructors or leaders, these walks make the most of our beautiful countryside and are a relaxing way to enjoy being active outdoors.  

If you need to hire poles, please email nordicwalkingwatford@gmail.com. There is a £2 hire charge payable to the walk leader on the day and pole hire is subject to availability

CANCELLATIONS

You are free to cancel your booking using the booking system up to the start time of the walk.

Please bear in mind that the walk leader may have already left home and may not pick up a late cancellation in a timely manner.

If you are cancelling within an hour of the walk, please try to contact the walk leader personally to let them know you are not attending.

Please ensure your PARQ is up to date and you discuss any changes to your health or medication with your walk leader.  

Please also ensure that you have any medication that you might need with you for the walk.  

We would ask you to arrive at least 10 minutes before the start time of the walk so that you can get warmed up safely.  

 

             

Location Notes:

The Artichoke on The Green has a car park, Green Ln, Croxley Green, WD3 3HN. Please park on both sides at the far end of the car park. Also some side of road parking available close by. Slightly further up The Green you can see The Coach & Horses pub which is an alternative meeting place if The Artichoke is closed. Varied routes includes small sections of the Chess valley, Ebury Way, Croxley Moor, canal. Routes from this venue may include paved pathways, woodland footpaths, tracks and open fields and gentle inclines. HIGH LIKELIHOOD OF MEETING LIVESTOCK IN SUMMER MONTHS Toilets are available in the pub during opening hours
