Walk Description:

It’s magical to walk here as this was the site of the Roman town Venta Icenorum ‘Market Place of the Iceni’ and predecessor of the county city of Norwich!

We will vary our routes each week, choosing from a variety of hilly High Ash Farm trails or crossing over the Caistor St Edmund Roman Town.  So many options…If you have never tried our Twin Peaks Walk - this is the one for you!

This is a fantastic ‘feel good’ walk for those wanting a moderate pace (mainly Gear 2) with the poles. Expect hills... and bring along a flask of coffee as we love a CAR BOOT CAFE WEATHER PERMITTING!!!

£8.50 BUT INCLUDED IN UNLIMITED WALKS P/W + UNLIMITED ZOOMS £28 PER MONTH PACKAGE

 Pls bring paws.

Please arrive promptly, at least 10mins before the walk is due to start, so that walks can start on time.

This walk is led by NNW Owner & Instructor - Rebecca Wheatley

Location Notes:

As you drive along Stoke Holy Cross Road from Norwich, you will pass the car park of the Caistor St Edmund Roman Town on your right. This is literally 3 mins from your destination and their postcode is NR14 8QN. You will also see a sign on the road for coffee up at our High Ash Farm car park at this point. Continue on road for 100 yards until you pass a row of cottages on your right and look for a tiny lane Chandler Lane that leads upwards next to a field on your left. It is tiny and unmarked yet called Chandler Road. Drive up to the top of this lane to where the road meets Wash Lane on the left and you will find a small car park overlooking High Ash Farm. This is our meeting point but there are no toilets.
