Walk Description:

This 90 minute course introduces you to the wonderful world of Nordic walking, a fun and very sociable way to get fit and stay fit, in our beautiful surroundings

The course includes the use of both strapless Nordic walking poles - which will be used predominantly for ease of learning - and strapped poles. It covers the basic techniques to enable you to get going effectively and immediately which includes receiving your Freedom Passport

We meet at the far end of the Horseshoe Clump car park

There are no parking fees or facilities

Location Notes Esher Common is a Nature Reserve and is part of South West Surrey`s 890 acre Site of Special Scientific Interest

There are a number of beautiful ponds and lakes on the Common, the largest of which is Black Pond which once supplied water for Claremont Gardens, now part of the National Trust
