Walk Description:

Friday Cafe Nordic Walx - this is up to 2 hours and 5 miles often followed by a coffee at a local cafe or bring your own flask for an after walk coffee and chat.

From one hour WALX in your local country park to a half day in the hills, our Explorer WALX capture the variety of scenery, themes and types of WALX that suit your lifestyle. If you love WALX to the pub or WALX with the dog or simply WALX in wild locations we have them all! Whether long, short, tough or gentle we welcome all ages and all levels.

On bank holidays s we like to start and end our walk (or drive a short way) at a local cafe. The walks are around 4-5 miles and take around 2 hours.

Poles are optional on an Open WALX - if you would like to try some poles please contact me in advance.

Todays walk: starting at  Pewsey Downs car park we walk around Knapp and Milk Hill circuits and then can drive down to Honeystreet Cafe afterwards. If anyone wants to join us please let me know so I can give cafe numbers as it's a public holiday. 

Pace & Intensity: Fairly moderate paced walk suitable for most abilities.

Gradient: Fairly moderate.

Miles: This walk is around 5 miles.

Notes: We can end at Honeystret Cafe 's in the village afterwards for a coffee or light lunch. I will need to book if there is a lot of us so please advise when you book if you want to join us.

 

 

 

 

Location Notes:

Pewsey Downs National Nature Reserve The reserve is located by the Alton Priors White Horse, one mile north of Alton Barnes at the base of Knap Hill. A car park is situated on the minor road leading from Alton Barnes to Lockeridge, which continues to join the A4 west of Marlborough. Please note the postcode is not exact.
