Walk Description:
A varied 5½ -mile walk from Chillbolton. This fabulous walk takes us across many different habitats including downland, chalk heath, woodland and watermeadows. There is one steep hill which will be ideal to practice our uphill technique!
The path winds past the rivers Test and Anton before leading up to Red Hill, where we are treated to sweeping views across the valley. It crosses the water meadows of Chilbolton Cow Common before circling back along the Test Way and through West Down Nature Reserve.
There may be sheep in some fields and cows graze the common.

Location Notes:
West Down Nature Reserve has two FREE car parks. Please skip the Recycling Car Park and park in the alternative Car Park at the Northern end of Coley Lane. If you are coming up the A3057 when you turn into Coley Lane the Car Park is the second turning on the right, then drive to the top of a hill.
