Walk Description:
Our walk starts and ends at Chesham Station. The route takes us through the heart of the Chilterns with a halfway point of Little Missenden, a delightful village with an interesting church in the Misbourne valley. The terrain is undulating downland, woodland and field paths; there are plenty of ups and downs but none of the uphill stretches are steep or lengthy.
Our longer Explorer WALX are open to all, exploring beautiful areas in and around London. Routes are planned with breaks and the opportunity for refreshments but this isn't just a ramble; we'll encourage the good posture and motivation to push yourself as we do in all our WALX.
If you'd like to benefit from using Nordic walking poles, we advise you attend a Learn to Nordic WALX workshop. Walkers without poles or with trekking poles are very welcome.
Monthly Payment clients £10; Pre-paid Credit clients £16 - price adjusted at payment.
Time: Meet at the entrance to Chesham Station ready to start at 10.00 am.
Travel: Chesham Station is at the end of the Metropolitan line.
A quicker route might be to take the overground train from Marylebone to Chalfont & Latimer and then change onto the Metropolitan line for one stop on the Chesham branch.
Approximate finish 3.00/3.30 pm
