Walk Description:

If you love birds and wildlife then this is the walk for you.  An 8 mile walk around this re-wilded estate.    There are bird hides and tree viewing platforms, and of course a cafe to die for!

Knepp is a 3,500-acre rewilding project in East Sussex.  From their website:  "Since we began rewilding just twenty years ago, endagered species such as nightingales, turtle doves and purple emperor butterflies have found sanctuary here.  The sheer abundance of life is mind-blowing.  Herds of old English longhorn cattle, Tamworth pigs, Exmoor ponies and red and fallow deer wander the landscape, their disturbance shaping the water meadows, shrubland and wood pasture, creating new habitats for wildlife.  Knepps dynamic, rebounding ecosystem is a story of hope, showing how nature can bounce back if we let it.  Thousands of nature lovers come here the take in the astonisihing sights and sounds"

You may wish to bring binoculars on this walk.  I also recommend Isabella Tree's book Wilding which is the story of this amazing rewilding project.

Please note I am unable to offer this walk as a free walk for DD payers.  I will contact you separately for payment.

I need a minimum of 3 people for a walk.  Please cancel by 6pm the day before a walk.  If you need to cancel after this time or on the day of the walk, I would ask that you just let me know that you cannot attend and the walk will remain chargeable. If a walk is to be cancelled due to insufficient numbers, I will let you know by 8pm the evening before.

MODERATE Walks - walks might involve hills and we walk at a pace of around 3 - 3.5 miles per hour.  The walks are usually around 90 mins.
