Walk Description:

NOTE START TIME 11.40. Led this week by Walk Leader Ruth Evans, as Instructor Susan isn't available, the Thursday Motivator Nordic Walk is an gentle/easy pace 1 hour walk. This session is ideal for those wanting to improve their fitness & who just want to have a Nordic Walk, fresh air and chat. Start times and locations vary to give variety on a week by week basis so please check carefully each week but will all be in the Salford area. 

THIS WEEK - DUKES DRIVE, MONTON

Meeting point - Dukes Drive Car Park, Monton, M30 8AP Meet in the car park at Dukes Drive. Dukes Drive car park is at the top of Parrin Lane. Turn left into the car park as you come up Parrin Lane (B5299) from Worsley Road (B5211). The car park entrance is as you go over the canal bridge and before you reach the roundabout. Dukes Drive is easily accessible along Worsley Road and then up Parrin Lane from both Junctions 11 and 13 of the M60.  No toilet facilities.

Please note that no poles will be available for hire on this session. 

We will be walking on both grass and paths so make sure you’re wearing supportive walking boots or shoes/trainers with a good tread that you are happy to get dirty and comfortable clothing appropriate for the weather. Paws will be required (on and off on different terrains). Hats, sunscreen and insect repellent will also be required when the weather dictates it! 

Please remember to bring 1 - bottle of water or a hot drink in a flask 2 - any medications/inhalers you may need 3 - a small rucksack as you`ll need both hands free at all times 4 - a mobile phone is useful for any last minute notifications.

Please note - you can cancel online up to the evening before the walk. Unfortunately, automatic refunds are not allowed after this time. Please contact Ruth directly via phone/text on 07963 893629 if you need to cancel nearer to the start time so we’re not waiting for you. Likewise, please phone/text as well as using the online system if you want to book on at the last minute - we don`t want to go without you!
