Walk Description:

The first of our Mini festival in a day walks takes us on a circular tour of the villages surrounding Orlingbury.

A 6 mile walk with a stop off at The Lilacs in Isham for refreshments.

Mostly across fields with some road walking and  stiles .

Come along and burn off some calories before our annual barbecue.

As part of our Mini Festival in a day, this 4 mile walk takes us across the fields from Orlingbury to Pytchley. We pass through fields where sheep graze alongside the village cricket field.

We call in at the Overstone Arms to enjoy a drink in the orchard before continuing our way through the village and back to Orlingbury.

The fields can be muddy depending on rain and recent ploughing which can change from day to day.

There are a number of stiles and gates to negotiate.

It is advisable to wear a bum bag with a water bottle or hydration pack and a snack for afterwards or during.

You are asked to contact your WALX Guide by phone, leaving a voicemail or sending an SMS text to the number listed below, if you are likely to be delayed.  Please ensure your PARQ is up to date and notify us in writing if you have any change to your medical records or physical or mental wellbeing.
