Walk Description:

We all know simply being in nature can de stress and help you to unwind but now the WALX Dorset team can help you to take that further by showing how to really harness that power.

This is a very special time with the awakening of the trees and plants all around us. Spring is such a beautiful time of year. Join us to really get to appreciate our surroundings.

Far more powerful than a walk through the woods, these workshops help you to understand the deep connection we have with nature and how to allow yourself to completely clear your mind. The results are far beyond any expectation as you emerge full of energy, positivity and joy! There is a raft of scientific evidence which proves the phenomenon of ‘forest bathing’ from the healing phytoncides ( wood oils from pine trees) which aid lungs and breathing to the reduction in blood pressure, boosting of the immune system and improvement in symptoms of depression.

We could show you the science but we prefer to take you deep into a wild Forset and let you discover it for your selves. Join us and you will leave with the knowledge that joining us regularly is better than any pill!Join Lucie as she guides you through a soul-enriching journey where the beauty of nature heals your mind and body to take away either the stress or overindulgence of the festive period.

This isn’t just a walk, its an invitation to discover the therapeutic benefits of forest bathing and immersing yourself in the calming energy of the forest. We will work with our senses to attune them with the subtlety of nature. Leave the hustle and bustle at home for 3 hours as this experience promises to be a source of inspiration and restoration.

Please wear plenty of layers (more than you might think you need) as we will be moving very slowly at times. Bring a hot drink if you can and water as well as a light snack. Mobile phones will be on silent or switched off if possible to avoid disturbance. Please wear comfortable shoes but that are able to withstand mud and puddles of the forest. NO POLES on this walk.

Location Notes:

Head towards Sixpenny Handley as you come into the village there is s turning on your right ( second turning if coming in on the lower road), Once on the road follow it until you reach the turning into the RSPB car park on your left.
