Walk Description:

WALX Coast and Country Sunrise Walk 

We are pleased to announce WALX Coast and Country will be running a Sunrise Walk again this year on Saturday 31st August 2024. It will be an early start as the sun rises at 6.12am! 

Rather than ask for sponsorship there will be a charge of £15.00 per person to cover breakfast and equal donations to St Barnabas Hospice and Juvenile Arthritis Research https://www.jarproject.org/sjia. 

There will be a shorter walk of 3 miles and a longer 7 mile route.  

We will warm up as one group at Highdown Hill. The short walk group will then drive to The Worlds End, Patching, to start and finish their walk from there.

The 7 milers will walk the same route with the added section to and from the Worlds End.  

Jon Pratt has kindly agreed to cook sausage or bacon baps (these were very popular last time). There will also be tea and coffee available.

Please let us know of any dietary requirements at the point of booking.   

Everyone is welcome; it is an open walk. Please encourage friends and family (walking poles are optional).

All attending will need to book and pay online to help with the catering, health checks and donations.  

Please book as early as possible as we have a lot to organise.

Remember to bring a cup for your hot drink. Tea and coffee will be supplied.

Free car parking, toilets and tea room. Follow signs for Highdown Gardens. Meet at the top car park.
