Walk Description:

Starting out from the car park of The Inn at South Stainley, the walk crosses several fields and passes through Jackson's Wood before coming to the outskirts of the picturesque quiet village of Burton Leonard.  Leaving the village the route then follows Limekiln Lane and through the disused lime quarries (now owned by Yorkshire Wildlife Trust), great for those who like to identify unusual flowers and plants! The walk then joins Rakes Lane and the Ripon Rowel before returning to South Stainley.

Location Notes:

Park and meet in the pub's overspill car park. If you plan to stay for post-walk coffees, please ensure that you key in your car registration number into the terminal inside the pub before the walk. If you plan to get off straight after the walk, please pay for parking at one of the machines inside the car park before the walk.
