Walk Description:

Saturday morning is your time for a woodland trail fix. The varying gradients and path compositions add a layer of fitness and balance you can't get in a gym.  Strengthen all your body's muscle groups and core, and improve your balance, flexibility and agility. 

Feel how Nordic Walking, also known as Total Body WALX, can work your whole body with poles; it's a cheeky exercise in disguise and a complimentary training session for runners, triathletes, golfers, tennis players, for example, and being able to move for life.

There is also an option to include a 20-minute JayChi flow, which helps release tension, traumas and negative emotions.

This is an easy-to-moderate pace, and the loop-back system keeps every one of all abilities moving together.

Pre-booking is essential, so please register.

To participate in these walks, please sign up for a Learn to Nordic Walk session. This is a technical walking activity that utilises poles as a form of exercise.

Additional information: 

We are sharing the outdoor space with others, including dog walkers. Wear comfortable clothing appropriate for the weather and walking shoes with grippy, sturdy soles. Wearing a bum bag with a water bottle or hydration pack is advisable.   If you are likely to be delayed, please call Janine Lewis, leave a voicemail, or send an SMS to the number listed below. While we understand that sometimes it is impossible to make a class, please be aware that we operate a no-refund policy if you give us less than 2 hours' notice.   Please ensure your PARQ is current and notify us in writing if you have any medical records or changes in your physical or mental well-being.
