WANT A FEEL GOOD AND FUN SOLUTION TO YOUR SUMMERTIME FITNESS RESOLUTION? Try a TASTE of Nordic Walking!

Nordic walking burns 20-45% more calories, works the whole body, is sociable, and lessens impact on joints. It's suitable for everyone and a fantastic fun way to enjoy being outside! 

This is a gentle introduction to learn the techniques and the benefits. The session will include a gentle warm up, fun activities to learn the techniques and gentle stretching to finish. This is an opportunity to learn something new and have fun whilst being outside and enjoying stunning countryside of Whitlingham Country Park.

Nordic walking is suitable for beginners right the way through to people who enjoy more of a fitness challenge. 

The session lasts roughly 35 minutes.  Please book your place if you are keen to attend so we know how many poles to bring on the day. 

Poles will be provided FREE for the session 

All walks must be booked online and you will be asked to complete the updated ParQ health questionnaire when booking. 

Location Notes:

Meet in the Whitlingham BARN CAFE car park. Please be aware that you must drive PAST this large barn as you come down Whitlingham Lane and then turn in left. It is not the first car park that you meet on this lane. Postcode is NR14 8TS. There are toilets. Parking is £1.20 per hour unless you have a permit but there is also free parking along Whitlingham Lane before entering the park through the gate posts. I WILL MEET YOU UNDER THE BIG OAK TREE IN THE MIDDLE OF THE CAR PARK.
