Walk Description:

This walk is approximately 2.5 / 3 miles. There are a couple of alternative routes from the start depending on sign ups and the weather. The terrain is mainly flat along country lanes with some farm tracks and footpaths.

Remember to wear appropriate clothes for the weather on the day.

Gear 1 - A nice, easy and natural pace that you can do for extended periods with recovery periods where appropriate. Short hills might be introduced.

Gear 2 - A faster pace gained through technique. There will be less recovery time.

Location Notes:

If you are coming from Amport/Monxton turn right off the Grateley road to Quarley. In Quarley after the village hall on your left, take the first right onto an unmarked road. The meeting point is approx 1/4 mile down the road. If you are coming down the A303 heading West there is a small turning off A303, unmarked, opposite the Thruxton turning on the over side and before Thruxton Circuit turn off. Follow the road for 3/4 mile and the meeting point is on the left, on a sharp bend to the right. if you miss the turning off the A303, take the Thruxton Circuit turning, drive into Quarley, past the church on your right and the unmarked road is on your left (as above).
