Walk Description:

Our walk starts from Custom House Station and follows a six mile route through the modest Cundy Park,  on to the pleasant greenery and lake in Beckton District Park and then a 2.5 mile stretch along the Greenway, finishing at the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park.  It is an ideal walk for autumn as we are on firm surfaces all the way (bring paws for your poles), and get good views of the London skyline from the Greenway.

The walk will finish in Stratford with trains back to central London via the Elizabeth Line or London Overground.

Our longer Explorer WALX are open to all, exploring beautiful areas in and around London. Routes are planned with breaks and the opportunity for refreshments but this isn't just a ramble; we'll encourage the good posture and motivation to push yourself as we do in all our WALX.

If you'd like to benefit from using Nordic walking poles, we advise you attend a Learn to Nordic WALX workshop. Walkers without poles or with trekking poles are very welcome.

Travel

There are regular trains running on the Elizabeth Line (Abbey Wood branch)from central London to Custom House for ExCel. 

Return will be from Stratford - trains run regularly to central London via the Elizabeth Line, Central Line, DLR or London Overground
