Walk Description:

Christmas Walk at Polesden Lacey for the goBuzzers!

Outline plan:   1.  Meet at Roehampton Gate before 09:00hrs and car share to Polesden Lacey (RH5 6BD or KT23 4PZ for Sat Nav) or take your own car and meet us there.  Depart Roehampton Gate at 09:00hrs at the latest.   2.  RV at Polesden Lacey cafe/toilets for 10:15hrs walk start (toilets and cafe open at 10:00hrs).  Free parking for National Trust (NT) members.   3.  Various walks to suit all abilities.   A walk from Roehampton Gate will still go ahead for those not wishing to come to The North Downs.   4.  RV back at Polesden Lacey for lunch (optional) at 12:15hrs.   5.  Option to visit Polesden Lacey House after lunch.  Free for NT members, no prior booking required.

This class combines Nordic walking with strength and balance exercises.  As well as improving your cardiovascular fitness and muscular strength the focus on posture, balance and flexibility will alleviate physical stresses on your body.  This is also an effective total body workout if the correct technique is observed.  You`ll feel great after completing this class!  You`ll be able to walk and talk but still enjoy the benefits of Nordic Walking.

Location Notes:

From Junction 9 of the M25: follow the A243 (signed A24 Epsom, Dorking and Leatherhead), before picking up the A24 and then the A246 (following the brown signs, but taking care not to take a hard right onto the B2033 Reigate Road). Don't miss the brown sign as you enter Great Bookham, indicating the left turn up to Polesden. From Guildford: Follow the A246, past East Clandon and East Horsley. Don't miss the brown sign as you enter Great Bookham, indicating the right turn up to Polesden.
